We are a local contractor to the Monmouth and Ocean County area looking for a reliable Dispatcher to act as a communicator from receiving and booking service, sales, and installation appointments and getting our outside field staff routed out to take care of our customer’s needs. You will receive requests, transmit messages and track vehicles.

The ideal candidate must be primarily an excellent communicator and able to remain calm and composed. You must be able to multi-task as well as take the appropriate action with little supervision.

The goal is to enable communication from the customer to the field staff well by ensuring the accurate and timely transmission of information. Listening and communication skills will be a key factor.

Employment: Monday thru Friday 8:30am-5pm with half hour lunch 40 hours a week. May require overtime during heavy workloads especially during our busier season (May- August) so must be flexible during that period. We are a weather driven business. Some Saturday’s may be required.

Must know Monmouth and Ocean county area to set up schedule for efficiency

Must be able to work with all types of personalities

Receiving incoming calls and make outgoing calls to set up service calls, maintenance, and record significant information-Details are extremely important.

Addressing problems and requests by transmitting information or providing solutions

Learn and follow scheduling set up for our company

Learn and utilize companies policy and procedure

MUST BE CUSTOMER SERVICE ORIENTED –Without the customer you have no job

Be able to view past history of customer’s and communicate with customers and technicians

Receive emergency and non-emergency calls and record significant information

Address problems and requests by transmitting information or providing solutions

Receive and dispatch calls to service technicians and be able to prioritize calls according to urgency and importance to proper technicians

Use iPad, tablet, android phone and/or computer to send outside field staff to customer appropriate location

Monitor the route and status of field staff to coordinate and prioritize their schedule

Enter data in computer system and maintain logs and records of calls, activities and other information

Requirements

Honest, Dependable & Hard working

Answer multiple incoming lines

Proven experience as dispatcher

Tech-savvy

Fast typing with experience in data entry

Knowledge of procedures and guidelines for booking all types of calls.

Proficient in English (oral and written)

Outstanding organizational and multitasking abilities

Active listener with excellent communication skills

Sound judgement and critical thinking

High school diploma
