Key Responsibilities:We are looking for a support engineer with solid Apple Mac experience and credentials. The Apple Mac Support Engineer will help develop and implement systems and strategies that promote secure, efficient and cost-effective client management solutions resulting in improved workflow, service delivery and client management across the organization.Responsibilities
  • Develop, maintain, and deploy corporate macOS software packages and standard configurations to Mac laptop and desktop clients.
  • Administer Jamf Pro suite and create packages for applications to deploy on systems across the globe
  • Evaluate and test new macOS & architect future solutions for deploying Mac configurations to new and existing Macs
  • Create and maintain technical knowledge base documents
  • Assist in managing the Apple Infrastructure (macOS, iOS, iPadOS)
  • Create & manage technical system procedure documentation and ensure it is updated and current
  • Research, analysis, testing, certification and documentation of the application lifecycle for macOS
  • Evaluate security updates and service packs for supported applications and perform necessary QC and certification for installation on all supported Mac clients
  • Test, install and update the macOS operating system including proprietary applications, security patches, updates, application drivers and system security tools
Requirements

Certifications and Qualifications
  • Strong enterprise-level experience providing administration and engineering support for MAC OS environments
  • 3+ year's JAMF Pro (Casper Suite) administrator experience or equivalent MDM
  • Prefer Jamf and Apple certifications
Skills
  • In-depth knowledge of Tier I applications (MS Office, Adobe, etc.)
  • Ability to monitor a variety of L3 engineering tasks for a global MAC environment
  • Highly proficient in Bash and Applescript
  • Pluses for Xcode, Python, and Swift programming and work in regulated environment
  • Extensive knowledge of macOS packaging, application troubleshooting, and enterprise Mac management
  • Experience with Mac hardware and repairs
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills
  • Networking skills in the area of integrating and binding Apple Macs with Windows Active Directory
  • macOS security in-depth knowledge and best practices
  • Strong oral, written and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to follow instructions and processes with minimal instruction
  • Ability to work afterhours and weekends, on occasion, in the event of event system outages or special deployment projects
  • Must be able to use own personal vehicle and drive between local campus locations within assigned area.
