Job DescriptionOur Policy & Communications team collaborate with governments and policy organizations at local and national levels. We address legislative and regulatory issues that promote and protect the discovery of innovative medicine, vaccines and animal health products while improving and protecting patient access to care. We take great care to monitor and manage the reputation of our company communicating the work we do to improve lives.Position Description:The Senior Specialist, Internal Communications is responsible for supporting internal communications across the company, including communications that leverage voices of Executive Team members. The individual will support the wider Global Employee and Leadership Communications team to develop and execute strategic plans that inspire employees to achieve the company's purpose and enhance the reputation of the Company. This includes helping deliver and execute internal communications projects and communications deliverables.This individual, as part of the Global Employee and Leadership Communications team, will execute significant internal initiatives to optimize the employee experience. Support will include drafting communications documents crucial to achieving the overarching internal communications strategy, including briefings, internal holding statements, emails, posts and newsletters, in addition to providing thoughtful research that informs the team’s larger strategy and programming development.In addition, this individual will help the team support Executive Team members’ internal and external engagements by conducting research and drafting documents for public speaking engagements, public appearances, speeches and employee engagements, in coordination with the broader Corporate Affairs team.This individual is highly collaborative and works with various communications teams to ensure consistent communications messaging and materials across all business sectors.Scope of work and core responsibilities includes:Draft internal communications materials, including emails, posts and newsletters

Support development and execution of creative and innovative programing to foster two-way communication between the company, our Executive Team members and our employees

Draft detailed briefing documents on business leaders, government officials, world leaders, academics and other members of civil society whom an Executive Team member may be meeting with

Support the implementation of change management strategies

Provide crisis and issues management support as needed

Contribute creative, strategic and well-thought-out ideas to internal employee engagements that are engaging and inspirational

Stay informed of industry trends and actively provide market intelligence to the team

Work collaboratively with the Global Employee and Leadership Communications team and across Corporate Affairs to deliver holistic internal communications programs

Position Qualifications :Education Minimum Requirement:Bachelor’s Degree with 4 or more years of communications experience OR a minimum of a high school diploma with at least 8 years of equivalent experience which could include: communications, media, and/or military.​ Required Experience and Skills:Minimum 1-3 years experience in communications

Knowledge and understanding of communications practices, tools and techniques

Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively

Strong writing, editing and communications skills

Creative thinker and passionate about building culture

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software

Organized with attention to detail

Strong project management skills

Exceptional business acumen with agility in a fast-paced environment

Proactive with ability to “see” around corners and anticipate needs of our executives

Positive attitude and ability to thrive in fast-paced environment

Preferred Experience and Skills:Experience in employee and internal communications, public relations, external engagement and corporate reputation a plus

Experience in healthcare industry, including large Fortune 500 companies, preferred

Experience at a PR agency or equivalent welcome
