FULL STACK SOFTWARE ENGINEERLAWRENCEVILLE, NJProject Description: As a Senior Full Stack Software Engineer, you will work at the interface of pharma, genomics, big data engineering, and advanced analytics. You will be responsible for driving software, hardware, and data solutions for how research data is organized, managed and utilized across the Client's Research & Early Development, significantly supporting the Client's scientific efforts to discover, develop and deliver innovative medicines that help patients prevail over serious diseases.This role encompasses full stack engineering of modular scientific solutions that accelerate the organization's clinical research insights in support of cutting-edge therapeutic discovery and development. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in computer science, data science, devops, machine learning, or a related field, with demonstrated experience in engineering scalable solutions in a distributed compute environment.The engineer will support the innovation, design and development of the Client's Research Data Commons infrastructure. This role will apply the latest hardware, software and cloud technologies to software solutions in data/compute interfacing, data modeling and distributed compute workflows.Job Functions
- Solve technical problems and provide innovative solutions across the full stack: front-end, back-end, and distributed infrastructure platforms.
- Develop, build and maintain modern web applications and user interfaces.
- Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD processes across cloud architectures.
- Collaborate with developers, product managers, designers, and 3rd party developers to build software for cloud applications.
- Bachelors/Masters/PhD in Computer Science, Software Engineering or similar experience
- 10+ years full stack engineering experience in a production environment
- Expert software engineer and developer (Python, Go, JavaScript, React, JSON, etc.)
- CI/CD Design & Implementation experience (Docker, Kubernetes)
- Latest in database design and systems (Graph Stores, MongoDB, PostgreSQL, Cloud DBs.)
- Latest in cloud platforms and services (AWS, Google Cloud Platform, Azure)
- Demonstrated experience managing software development projects and ability to communicate with both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Preferred: Previous experience in a life sciences domain or biotech
- Preferred: Previous experience with Genomics data formats and analysis
- MUST HAVE at least one year or more of the following:
- Golang
- GraphQL
- JSON schema
- MongoDB
