Overview: Looking for a Certification & Deployment Engineer to be responsible for the deployment and validation of software applications in a Cloud environment. The individual must be adept in understanding complex enterprise-grade VoIP architectures, partnering with peer organizations, and involved in cross-functional teams in this critical role. The candidate should possess 5+ years of experience in Devops, Agile, Network Operations, Engineering, IT operations, and technical product/program management of VoIP and/or Mobility services. He/she must possess strong organizational skills, be action oriented, results driven, and work with minimal direction. Attention to detail and ability to work under pressure are critical in this role. Collaborate to gather and review software requirements/user stories, to assess and test hardware and software interactions. Create and execute automated test plans/strategies utilizing business requirements and collaborate with engineers/architects, clients, etc. to validate test environments, test data and test results, validate outcomes against expected results and produce associated reporting. Responsibilities may include interface testing, integration testing, end-to-end testing and/or user acceptance testing. Key Requirements: 5+ years of testing and field support experience Strong Unix skills and knowledge of OpenStack, Kubernetes, Ansible and relevant protocols for virtual services design including PHP, HTML, XML, Java, Python, Perl, TLS/SSL Applying OS patches and upgrades on a regular basis and upgrading administrative tools and utilities. Configuring /adding new services as necessary. Creating, changing, and deleting user accounts per request. Supporting Windows Servers Quick and independent learner with Strong Analytical and Troubleshooting skills Continuous improvement mindset Comfortable working in complex and demanding environments with high degree of change Responsible for Certification test planning and execution for network/field validation testing in a large telecommunications environment. Developing test scripts and plans; Perl and / or Shell scripting experience is a plus End to End call flow testing of VoIP services which may require coordination with other teams (Domestic and International) Experience with Nokia/ALU, Metaswitch, Ericsson, Sonus, Oracle or other network testing elements Experience in the interoperability testing of AND /OR resolve issues identified during testing Experience with quality and bug tracking systems? (Quality Center, JIRA, BMC remedy, etc) In some cases, responsible for Tier 4 problem and troubleshooting/diagnosis and resolution Provide support to teams with customer cut-overs and migrations Provide Lab environment test support Understanding and debugging capabilities for SIPand WireShark traces/captures a plus Ability to Test SIP call traces and SIP call flows a plus Develop Method of Procedure for field implementation Attend project meetings to review system and test requirements Provide production and escalation support to Operations and Service teams Track and report on Outage Remediation action items until completion Ability to provide support for after hour emergencies and exceptions
