Our direct client, a global firm, seeks an experienced .net Solutions Architect to join the team on a long-term contract basis (12-24+ months).
This position can be done remotely - most calls are on the Eastern Time Zone, so candidate should be able to easily join calls from 8AM onwards, Eastern US Time.In this role, the Solutions Architect will effect the successful technical design and deployment of business applications in accordance the client's IT Standards and Global practices. Responsibilities:The consulant will:- Act as a trusted advisor to business; ensures the efficiency of cloud requests and manage customer driven, cloud projects; create Cloud documentation of technical implementation plans; represent Cloud Operations to all stakeholders
- Develop and coordinate cloud architecture across diverse areas including application development, identity and access management, network and data management, and security
- Facilitate the architectural artifacts required to build corresponding consensus with the business and IT organizations involved
- Network architecture
- Information flow
- Authentication and authorization architecture
- Infrastructure usage
- Technical architecture definition/design
- Etc.
- Mediate and coordinate all activities of the security assessment review process
- Provide high level cost and resource estimates for Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS), Platform as a Service (PaaS) and Software as Service (SaaS) offerings
- Use standardized process for mapping business needs to available cloud technology options, including assessment of risks and possible mitigations
- Adopt a wholistic approach that considers operational and support concerns, with a strong preference towards designing for reliability via available tools and approaches (e.g., automation, monitoring)
- Review and audit code authored by the team to ensure compliance with best practices and project specific rules
- Provide knowledge transfer to Engineering and Support personnel as needed and serve as Subject Matter Expert for Level 4 support escalations
- Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited college/university in Computer Science or related field (Masters preferred)
- Minimum five years’ experience as a Solution Architect
- Minimum ten years’ experience in delivery of enterprise systems and architectures
- Azure Solution Architect (or related)
- Experienced and/or certified with other related tools or methodologies
- TOGAF 9.x certified (a plus), any experience with ArchiMate is a plus
