Contracts Administrator

The candidate will be responsible for all aspects of the contract administration life cycle from "cradle to grave" including, but not limited to, supporting Business Development and Program Managers in business opportunity pursuits, independently leading and supporting proposal activities such as performing financial and business risk analyses, developing/coordinating risk mitigation strategies, drafting terms and conditions, supporting proposal pricing strategy, ensuring compliance with solicitations, leading sole source negotiations, and ensuring award reflects negotiated agreement; conducting post-award administration, and closeout. Candidate will also process Non-Disclosure Agreements, Teaming Agreements, and other business arrangements as needed. Candidate will ensure company commitments are met in accordance with company policies, legal requirements (FAR/DFAR) and customer specifications; will advise management of contractual rights, obligations and issues as they arise; and act as the primary interface with customer contracting officials. Candidate will have experience working in a team environment and be responsive to both internal and external customers.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or related field with 5 to 7 years experience in Contract Administration or related activity (e.g. Subcontracts, Procurement); or MBA and 3 to 5 years experience in Contract Administration or related activity
  • Ability to review and understand fundamental Government contract terms
  • Must be a team player and have the ability to work effectively with internal and external customers without appreciable direction
  • Must be able to represent company as the prime contact on contracts or projects and interact with senior internal/ external personnel on significant matters often requiring the coordination of activities across organizational lines.
  • Must have excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Must be detail oriented, have strong business acumen, be proactive, responsive and responsible with the ability to multitask
  • Must be flexible and able to comply with new/evolving processes/procedures
  • Must be experienced with MS Office Products (e.g. Word, Excel), and capable of learning and using company-specific programs.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance.
  • Government/DoD contracting/negotiating experience with a solid working knowledge of FAR/DFARS preferred
