- The Email Security Engineer is responsible for maintaining the Email Security systems that protects Enterprise email for employees and contractors.
- The position will work closely with other team members to configure and monitor Email Security applications that deliver valid email to our employees and remove Spam, Phishing, and malicious content.
- Responsible for monitoring the health of the Email Security platforms.
- Responsible for resolving tickets escalated to the Email Security team to allow or block specific domains.
- Responsible for maintaining and building relationships with stakeholders to minimize risks to Comcast.
- This position will require strong teamwork with the Email Security team, Security Incident Response Team, the Messaging team and Business Stakeholders.
- Drives security issues through to closure by engaging all appropriate resources. Provides guidance and recommended solutions to complex technical issues.
- Handle email related malware and phishing incidents and provide high-level support with help desk tickets related to Anti-Spam, Anti-Phishing, Anti-Malware
- Ensures proper domain formatting for internal and external mail partners
- Implement and customize email filtering rules
- Performs complex and routine maintenance updates for endpoint security products.
- Maintain product release process and testing including back out plans. Ensures all maintenance is properly validated to minimize subscriber impact.
- Provides input to support teams and vendors on defects and required enhancements.
- Identifies and recommends areas requiring change or modification.
- 3 - 5 years Enterprise Security Messaging experience
- Mail Gateway (Spam, Phishing, Malware) protection experience including Proofpoint Protect/TAP/TRAP/CLEAR, & Agari Phishing Defense/Brand Protect.
- Proofpoint Browser Isolation a plus
- Operational knowledge of SMTP mail routing and basic networking.
- Experience with DNS record formatting
- Experience with DMARC
- Experience with Malware prevention solutions
- Linux Command line/ Terminal experience
- Strong background with Windows operating systems
- Good communicator able to analyze and clearly articulate complex issues
- Great design and problem solving skills
- Adaptable, proactive and driven to take ownership
- Keen attention to detail and high level of commitment
