Overview

  • This position leads support for software and hardware infrastructure related to database technologies at a high level of complexity. Supports database infrastructure for the Bank's sales, service, and corporate support applications through expertise and daily performance monitoring. Implements, upgrades, and tests technical systems. Resolves escalated technical issues reported by users or system alerts. Drives operational excellence and systems efficiency, providing continuous service both through daily activities and through on-call rotation for after hours support. Implements disaster recovery testing and may provide oversight to technical associates or projects.
Responsibilities

The Data Management Administrator will serve as the lead administrator in the areas of Data Warehousing, Data Virtualization administration and related technologies. The ideal candidate would have experience as a database and data virtualization administrator. The position is both hands on and managing the data management administration team. Responsibilities include installation, configuration, monitoring and support of Denodo platform including upgrades, migrations and maintenance of security and provide Subject matter expertise on all aspects of Denodo. Diagnose any issues including errors and performance topics and work with Denodo technical support leading to resolution. Establish load balancing, caching, backups, conduct DR drills.

Important parts of the position are the administration of Windows servers running the Denodo data virtualization product and the administration of Alteryx Enterprise servers. The position requires being on-call for critical errors and occasional weekend availability for work that can't be done during normal business hours. Good communication skills both oral and written are an important part of the position. The ability to work as a team with developers and other support teams is essential. The ability to learn on your and the curiosity to do so is needed to excel at this position. Qualifications

    Bachelor's Degree and 4 years of experience in Database Engineering OR High School Diploma or GED and 8 years of experience in Database Engineering
      • 5+ years of experience in Denodo or other data virtualization tool.
      • 5+ years of experience in Administration of Denodo or other data virtualization tool.
      • Understanding of LDAP, SSL, and other security concepts.
      • Good knowledge of JDBC, XML and Web Services APIs.
      • Administration experience to include installation, configuration, security, cache management in a highly available enterprise environment.
      • Working knowledge of RDBMS systems. SQL Server and/or Oracle preferred.
      • Database/query performance analysis.
      • 7+ years of experience working knowledge of SQL. SQL Server and/or Oracle preferred.
      • Experience with installing vendor software and applying updates/patches
      • Experience with Windows based systems, preferably both client and server versions.
      • Experience with Unix, Linux based systems, preferably both client and server versions.
      • Capable of independently perform the job duties.
      • Excellent communication for interfacing with developers, users, infrastructure teams, architects, and any external partners.

Desired Skills:
      • 5+ years of experience Database administration skills (SQL Server preferred) is highly desirable.
      • Alteryx Enterprise (Server) Administration experience.
      • Master Data Management (MDM) experience preferably with Informatica tools.
      • PowerShell, Java, Python.
      • Networking skills required for database systems and data virtualization tools.
      • Citrix NetScaler or other load balancing tool.
