Overview

  • This individual works within the team of Data & IT Operations that owns and performs all support activities to large set of applications. A team player who takes up below responsibilities:
Responsibilities

• Ensures daily and monthly operational processes run successfully

• Resolves incidents for issues arise in production processes with relevant urgency• Escalates incidents and assign appropriate Priority levels• Works with offshore contractors in all support activities. Coordinates shift times with onsite & offshore team as required part of job• Effectively communicates with data consumers on potential SLA impacts due to production failures• Track and complete Problem tickets from incidents. Work with Incident and Problem management teams. Perform root cause analysis (RCA) of the issues• Proactively identifies operational inefficiencies and works on solutions. Work with data consumer teams and development team to design solutions to increase operational efficiencies• Monitors applications level controls and reconciliations• Participates in Audits to demonstrate data movements are meeting the defined rules and standards• Identifies creative, technology-based opportunities to improve service levels and reduce costs with solution teams and data consumers• The individual participates in Disaster Recovery, ACLC activities. Represents applications under the organization to complete required tasks• Will demonstrate the understanding of concepts of ITIL/ITSM best practices on IT operations• Works on BAU activities that require working on development tasks. This requires working with development team at some capacity to manage the work load within the organization• Becomes part of a large team spread across different geographical locations, working at different timezones.• Manages offshore coordination• Trains in required toolset to perform job functions• Works on periodic infrastructure and technology upgrades of the tools in use• Adheres to FCB architecture, design methodologies and best practices in support and development

Team Leadership - Mentors and trains team members. Utilizes expertise to provide guidance, feedback, and direction on complex matters. Assists in the communication of performance results and expected behaviors for success.

Project Management - Leads specialized technical projects to include development of time estimates, determining scope, and addressing potential impacts.

Business Support - Provides insight to management allowing the strategic alignment of technologies with business needs. Facilitates system modifications or architectural changes. Effectively collaborates with others on technical issues and initiatives, acting as the primary escalation point for technology-related team concerns across the enterprise.

Technical Expertise - Maintains a strong knowledge of Bank technologies, processes, procedures, and industry standards. Serves as a resource on one or more specialized technologies to management, associates, and cross-platform teams. Qualifications

    Bachelor's Degree and 8 years of experience in Technical work in Application Development, Server Administration, Information Security, or Engineering OR High School Diploma or GED and 12 years of experience in Technical work in Application Development, Server Administration, Information Security, or Engineering
    Preferred Education: Bachelor Degree
    Preferred Area of Study: Computer Science
    Preferred Area of Experience: MS.NET; ASP.NET; SQL Scripting; Powershell Scripting; Windows Server Administration; Project Management
    Skill(s): Advanced experience with modern technologies, prototyping, technical leadership, systems development lifecycle, communication and planning skills, Advanced knowledge in working with leadership to define strategy and approach for solving complicated technical problems, Proven ability to deliver solutions that solve complex problems, using thought leadership and independent thinking skills, Ability to lead others in the successful execution and delivery of long term, multi-layered projects and initiatives., Ability to clearly articulate complex processes/situations to executive leadership
    Other preferred qualifications:
    7+ years of experience in Data Management and Business Intelligence with a minimum of 3 years in supporting IT & Data operations- technology
    5+ years or relevant technology development and IT operations experience
    Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, issue resolution skills, with ability to understand inter-dependencies of multiple information systems
    Working experience in the area of Business Intelligence and analytics, with special focus on supporting data movement, Data Hubs, Data Marts, Data Warehouse and Data Virtualization environments
    Strong problem solving skill with the ability to analyze and break down a problem to identify root cause
    Strong background and working experience in IT Service Management (ITSM certification preferred)
    SQL (MS SQL Server 2014 or later), Oracle 12g, ETL (SSIS, SSRS), SSAS, Denodo (Virtualization), Python, Java, C# skills
    Strong leadership and communication skills
    Knowledge of Loan, Lease, Treasury, Factoring, Risk and Banking (Mortgage, Deposits etc.) systems
    Familiar with Data Governance concepts and application on Data management support activities
    Experience with BI and reporting tool is preferred (Tableu, Business Objects, Power BI, OBIEE, SSRS, Qlik)
    Experienced working with teams location across different timezones and geographical locations
