Graduate of an accredited school of practical nursing

NJ LPN license

AHA BLS Provider

Minimum of one year of nursing experience

Interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate with others

Physical stamina and ability to safely lift and move objects and people

Preferred:

Minimum of one year of rehabilitation and/or pediatric experience

Certifications and Licenses Required:

NJ LPN license

AHA BLS Provider

Scheduling Requirements:

Per Diem

Evenings and Weekends

Essential Functions:

Performs and documents nursing care within LPN scope of practice and hospital policies and procedures

Notifies Nurse Manager / Charge Nurse of responsibilities and or changes in patient status. Takes appropriate action including recording and reporting

Understands the importance the interdisciplinary process. Promotes continuity of nursing care and interdisciplinary interventions

Participates in patient and family education under supervision of RN

Recognizes and respects patient/family rights in a culturally and religiously sensitive environment of care

Requests guidance from Manager, RN and other resources when appropriate

Consistently appraises clinical performance and learning needs through self-evaluation

Exhibits consistent professional behavior and is accountable for actions with regard to professional issues

Continual contact with patients, families, visitors and all hospital departments and staff

Contact with medications, chemicals and equipment
