This position will require someone to work a hybrid schedule, qualified candidates must be comfortable going onsite 2-3x a week in Flanders, NJ.
Our client, a leading insurance provider is looking for a Senior Citrix Engineer to come into their Flanders, New Jersey location. This person should have supported and used Citrix in a high-level capacity. This perfect candidate would be coming from or have experience working in an enterprise-level organization, who can help scale out, update, upgrade and build out this Citrix environment for a SMB. Due to client requirement, applicants must be willing and able to work on a w2 basis. - Responsible for capacity planning
- Manage multiple / simultaneous projects and service issues
- Provide leadership, expertise and strategic guidance that span multiple systems and groups
- Responsible for operational availability of Data Center administration, Patch Management/SCCM administration, Vulnerability management, Active Directory administration, Group Policy management, Citrix Engineering and SQL administration.
- Provide engineering leadership in the update/creation of the Citrix XenDesktop and VDI solutions
- Create, align, and maintain technology roadmaps with our business strategy
- Develop and maintain documentation of all processes associated to Citrix administration and duties performed
- Determining the increased cases received by the IT Helpdesk
- Providing technical assistance for all the servers, desktops, and services that apply business
- Taking full control and accountability for applying, implementing, maintaining, and examining the documentation of the Virtual Desktop infrastructure
- At least 8 years of experience working in a Citrix environment
- Prior experience working with in other Virtual Server environments (i.e.VMWare)
- Experience working interactively with business customers and resolving Citrix Virtualization related issues
- Experience working within a Large Enterprise Level company
- Experience of large Citrix projects and ideally should have experience of older IT and Citrix Technologies
- Experience upgrading and patching the Citrix and Windows environments to meet security
- Experience on implementations with thin client and Citrix
- Experience managing Active Directory
- Knowledge of Windows Server, Networking and Linux for advanced troubleshooting
