Job Description

We are looking to hire a Lead Application Developer to join our Clearance & Settlement Processing Solutions team. In this role you will develop applications for scalability and performance and provide production expertise for time critical issues. This is a highly technical role where you will need to be hands on with JAVA/J2EE, ORACLE 12c, PL/SQL (non Oracle Forms), MQ, NDM, Autosys, TWS technologies as well as be a Lead of an Offshore Team. Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Hands on development
  • Employing your knowledge to define the architecture, system structure, logical view, physical view, and security features based on the system requirements.
  • Provide expertise to software implementers in crafting detailed software design specifications and leading the review process of software architecture documents
  • Collaborate with senior product and development management team to track projects and provide expertise for critical production and quality assurance (QA) issues.
  • Utilize specialized knowledge to define the project scope, goals, deliverables, project timelines and milestones using appropriate tools for implementing Clearance & settlement Processing solutions (VPS, DRS, DWAC) for major Brokerage clients.
  • Use product expertise to supervise project milestones and deliverables, review and analyze project team status reports, and deliver progress reports and presentations.
  • Utilize experience to delegate tasks and responsibilities to appropriate personnel.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • At least 10 years of application development experience using JAVA/J2EE, ORACLE 12c, PL/SQL (non Oracle Forms), MQ, NDM, Autosys, TWS technologies.
  • XMLDB, Advanced Queue, Database design, SQL performance tuning.
  • Hands on experience of Oracle based tools i.e. Toad/SQL Developer, SQL Loader, Import/Export Data Pump.
  • Experience of working in geographically distributed and culturally diverse work-groups with strong team play and collaborative skills.
  • Experience with projects in multiple technologies and functions.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Validated experience in building scalable and robust applications.
  • Good communication and negotiation skills.
  • High level of attention to detail – someone who takes pride in delivering a high-quality robust product, providing multiple clients with business value, rather than focusing on R&D.
  • Enthusiastic approach to self-development

Desirable Skills:

  • AWS Cloud Hosting.
  • Exposure to Git and JIRA.
  • Exposure to DevOps/CI/CD via Jenkins.
  • Agile practitioner; Scrum, TDD, User Stories, Specification by example etc.
  • Knowledge or experience with Core Java, Apache Camel etc
  • Knowledge of investment Banking and Clearance & Settlements domain.
