Physical Therapy Aide / Per DiemReq #:0000085253Category:Physical TherapyStatus:Per DiemShift:DayFacility:Newark Beth Israel Medical CenterLocation:Physical Therapy, 201 Lyons Avenue, Newark, NJ 07112-2027RESPONSIBILITIES:Preparing all out-patient charts for patients scheduled for treatment.
Responsible for calling patients into the treatment from the waiting room
Maintains clean facility throughout the day by disinfecting all equipment after each patient use.
Prepares treatment beds for treatment by replacing sheets and pillow cases.
Prepares hot pack, ice pack for the Physical Therapist when asked
Assists patients with therapeutic exercise programs by providing Thera bands, weights and other equipment as needed
Deliver equipment as needed for therapist on the bedside floors like crutches / walkers
Transport patients as needed on w/c.
Works as a team member to make sure patient receives a positive experience
Maintains a positive, professional demeanor always
Promotes and Maintains a safe work environment
Other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS:High School Diploma or Prior PT aide Training completion.
Excellent Oral Communication
Flexibility and adaptability necessary to adjust to fluid situations is a must
Excellent customer service skills and a positive attitude
