Please see below a detailed job description for this roleJob Title: Senior Technical Business AnalystJob Location: Newark, NJ- Remote Duration: Long Term Contract Interview: Telephonic & Zoom/SkypeMinimum experience required 10 to 15 years We are seeking a Senior Technical Business Analyst to support one of our clients who is a global Fintech leader and is a leading provider of investor communications and technology-driven solutions to banks, broker-dealers, asset and wealth managers, and corporate issuers. In this role, you will be designated as a project owner with the primary responsibility of delivering detailed functional requirements (FRDs) for various types of development projects (waterfall and agile). In this role, you ensure that all required details are communicated and approved by key internal and external stakeholders. Subsequently, you are to drive the project to completion by project managing the effort, as well as participating in testing. For the remainder of the project’s SDLC, you safeguard that all functional requirements have been satisfied prior to the go-live date. Additional tasks include writing system documentation, such as user manuals and release notes. Throughout the process, you will ensure standard methodologies are followed and executed to ensure the successful delivery of all assigned projects.Responsibilities:- You will lead the identification, analysis, and detailed documentation of the current- and future-state business processes that require improvements
- You will craft and develop requirements for waterfall or agile projects, where assigned responsibilities include writing basic functional specifications by a set deadline, participating in daily scrum sessions and writing story cards, or capturing and composing other on-demand documentation with a short turnaround time
- You will develop, improve and be responsible for the review and validation of written specifications with the subject matter authorities, development team members, and other stakeholders to ensure timely completion with all vital signoffs
- You will provide status reports to management on an ongoing basis, stating progress and any issues that impede it
- You will build & implement solutions to address any issues
- 10+ years brokerage services experience as a Business Analyst
- Business Analysis experience in brokerage IT environment required.
- 5+ years Wealth and/or Capital Markets knowledge and experience
- Subject matter knowledge is desired in one of Order Management, Asset Servicing, or Clearance and Settlement post-trade processing.
- Familiarity with Broadridge BPS, Aspire, or Ascendis platforms is highly preferred
- An inventive self-starter who is comfortable interacting and coordinating with numerous stakeholders
- Excellent organizational, verbal communication, and business writing skills
- Ability to deliver under tight deadlines and handle time appropriately
- Ability to quickly understand new concepts and adapt accordingly
- B.A/B.S degree required
