The manager would strongly prefer candidates who have experience in engineering or operational work for a Utility. Shift work required-12hr shifts (mostly day) rotate between days and nights. Total of 14 12hr shifts per month and work every other weekend. Day shift: 5:30am to 5:30pm Night shift: 5:30am to 5:30pm The Energy Supply Specialist is responsible for real time optimization of the electric energy supply portfolio through monitoring and directing the Company's generation assets (output of steam, combustion turbines and nuclear plants). Coordinate generation dispatch and transaction activity with PJM, NYISO, ISO-NEOperations desk that dispatches all power plantsWorking with portfolio analysts, working on structure of things, there is a learning curve but willing to trainEnter values into market (for generators for example)Working in team settingsDay to day what to do:They are the eyes and ears, they work with portfolio analysts and strategize the market. Task work that is time sensitive, follow a template and making deadlines, organizingWorking 36 hrs one week and then 48 hrs the next week ( 84 hrs in a 2 wk period) Strongly prefer candidates who have experience in engineering or operational work for a Utility.Excel a requirement?
