Senior Program Manager About The Role:- As Senior Program Manager, Canada & Rest of World, you will be working within the US-based Canada team. Based in Newark (hybrid), you will be a key interface between the international program team, management, and product teams to ensure product and feature planning is integrated.
- You will be responsible for project management and product testing efforts across various surfaces including presence on Amazon, Kindle devices, and Apps in our newest digital marketplace, Canada.
- Our goal is to deliver world-class content, commerce, and consumption experiences anywhere, anytime, and on any device to unleash the power of the spoken word.
- This role will be remotely managed by the UK-based Director of Program Management for UK & CA, with local accountability to the US-based Canada Country Manager.
- The role will primarily focus on Canada service, but with additional responsibilities for program management in international territories featuring multi-language and multi-currency in the near future.
- Our client is looking for that right combination of digital media sensibility and e-commerce smarts, someone who can dive into the details and then tie them back to the big picture.
- The successful candidate will need to be detail-oriented and experienced in project management, equally comfortable talking tech with developers, user experience with designers, copy and positioning with product marketers, and numbers with acquisition marketing.
- The Senior Program Manager will have past experience working closely with the Project Management Office (PMO).
- Using your existing background in technology roles and businesses, you will raise the bar when it comes to ensuring a best-in-class customer experience.
- You'll contribute to the broader vision by challenging and extending our thinking to ensure that we're doing right both by our customers and our business.
- Work with the Director of Program Management, UK & CA to serve as the in-house product expert for launches, ensuring new products and features meet local requirements and business objectives.
- Support the US-based Canada Country Manager to manage projects within the US-based Canada team, delivering process changes and improvement plans.
- Plan and execute testing and communication of all new products and features for websites and apps, including English to Canadian French translation.
- Reporting of issues and bugs in a detailed and timely manner, working closely with various international development teams and local stakeholders to ensure swift resolution.
- Create and execute quality plans (UAT) and testing strategies.
- Be the subject matter expert for all tools and features across our surfaces.
- Work closely with product marketing, design, finance, program management, business affairs, customer care, legal and global product teams to deliver the best possible customer experience.
- "Eat, sleep, and breathe" digital media trends and user behaviors.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience working in either program management, project management, or related discipline.
- Relevant experience working in Agile & Scrum.
- Good understanding of Web technologies (HTML, CSS, Basic Java, APKs, etc.).
- Relevant experience with ticketing systems (e.g. Jira or similar).
- Ability to and willingness to "roll up your sleeves and get your hands dirty" managing detail.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- A creative problem solver.
- Demonstrated ability to understand and discuss technical concepts, schedule trade-offs, and new ideas with technical and non-technical employees.
- This is a remotely managed role with a dotted line to the CA Country Manager so experience managing stakeholders across multiple time zones is essential.
- A demonstrated record of partnering with cross-functional teams across the organization and influencing to achieve business results across multiple teams who may have different goals.
- Curiosity and a desire to learn.
- Degree in Business or a related digital discipline.
- CAPM, PMP, or other project management qualifications.
- French or Canadian French-speaking (preferred but not required)
