This is a full time, evening position (40 hours/week). The hours for this role are from 1:00pm - 9:30pm.Job Summary:The Cardiac Cath Lab Aide functions under the direction of the department Director and Manager, supporting the department leadership, Registered Nurses (RNs), and technician population of the Cardiac Cath Lab. The primary responsibilities involve supportive and technical assistance associated with the overall course of diagnostic and interventional procedures, which can include preparing rooms and items for procedures, assisting with transportation and moving of patients within the department, monitoring inventory, and stocking procedural areas and rooms. The Cardiac Cath Lab Aide works closely with the Central Sterile, Laboratory, Patient Transport, and Pharmacy departments to support hospital resources and patient care as appropriate,Job Qualifications/Education/Training/Certification/Licensure:High school diploma or equivalent required
Basic Life Support (BLS) through the American Heart Association (AHA) required
Minimum of one (1) year hospital experience required
Knowledge of medical terminology required
Knowledge of Patient Transport or Sterile Processing strongly preferred
