Summary

The Independent Sales Representative (ISR) will be mainly responsible for obtaining sales leads, presenting our logistics services, and closing deals. The contracted ISR will manage his/her own time to maximize earning potential from our market-leading commission structure. This will be a Contracted opportunity.

Responsibilities

 Drive top line revenue

o Grow network of customer contacts by demonstrating the value of the organization

o Work at multiple levels within the customer organization to satisfy the needs of the buying team

o Implement effective sales strategies to continually meet or exceed sales quotas

o Identify prospective customers by following leads from existing clients, or attending events and conferences, to build relationships with people

o Focus sales efforts by studying existing and potential volume of dealers

o Monitor competition by gathering current marketplace information on pricing, products, delivery schedules, and merchandising techniques

o Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed

o Achieve agreed upon sales targets and outcomes within schedule

o Analyze the territory/market's potential, track sales and status reports

 Build and maintain relationships with internal/external customers

o Identify networking opportunities

o Add value to each customer interaction, linking company ability to the customers' needs and business strategy

o Discuss client's needs and explain how specific services can help them

o Ensure strong follow-up, and stay connected and ready for the buying cycle

o Become a customer-matter expert and strategic partner

 Call on prospective customers and present our services

o Identify potential customers through networking, cold-calling, emailing, and social media advertising

o Obtain sales leads

o Arrange meetings with potential and existing customers to present company services

o Create and deliver presentations tailored to the customers' needs

o Persuade customers by emphasizing the benefits and key features of services and how customers can make the best use of them

 Close Sales

o Turn presentations into sales

o Negotiate sales contracts, terms of sales, service agreements, and prices with suppliers and vendors to encourage purchase

o Prepare sales contracts and ensure orders are submitted for processing

o Fill out necessary paperwork and obtain customer signatures to complete close

 Represent Glovis in a professional manner

o Follow guidelines set forth by organization

o Possess extensive knowledge of our services, in order to be able to answer any questions the customer may have

o Keep abreast of best practices and promotional trends

o Continuously improve through feedback

o Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies
