We are a children's summer day camp offering opportunities for college students and graduating HS seniors to work with campers ages 3 to 13 (Nursery to Eighth Grades).

Gain experience working with a specific age group.

In addition to counselor positions we also have:

Swim instructor positions available to college students who have swim team or swim teaching experience. We teach American Red Cross Swim lessons to our campers.

We run the American Red Cross Lifeguard Training, CPR, and First-Aid certification course on our grounds. This course is free for all Ramapo swim staff.

Water Safety Instructor (WSI) course is also available.

Ramapo is located on Saddle River Road in Airmont, NY on the Bergen County (NJ)/ Rockland County (NY) border near the NJ towns: Upper Saddle River, Woodcliff Lake, and Montvale. We are easily accessible by The Garden State Parkway (Exit 172), RT 17 (Saddle River/Woodcliff Lake Exit), RT 59 (Spring Valley), NY State Thruway (Exit 14B), and RT 287. Ramapo is located just off local roads: Grand Ave/Lake St., Chestnut Ridge Rd, and E. Allendale Rd.

Our staff of specialists is made up of teachers from Bergen, Passaic, and Rockland County as well as New York City who run our activity areas. Our counselors are college students who accompany each group of campers and assist our specialists. We also hire international teachers from such countries as: Australia, New Zealand, Spain, Holland, Finland, England, and others.

Our campers range in age from three to thirteen (Nursery to eighth grades) and they participate in activities ranging from all sports, swim, arts & crafts, theater, rock climbing, and pioneering to dirt track carts, horseback riding, zipline trail, bungee and trampoline, hands-on science, robotics, and archery. Most campers are enrolled for six, seven or all eight weeks.

Camp Dates: June 29th to August 21st (39 Days)

Camp will be closed on Friday, July 3rd

Monday to Friday 9:00 to 4:00

We have worked hard to create a facility and staff-working environment that is enjoyable, creative, positive, and perfect for the summer. You will enjoy coming to work each day. We are looking for people who see spending a summer at camp as something they "get to do" not "have to do".
