Mechanical Engineer Job description
Job Summary:
An Aerospace and Defense Manufacturing company is looking for an experienced, skilled Mechanical Engineer. This position requires one to provide production with all necessary methods, instructions, drawings to manufacture the end product to meet customers requirements.
Mechanical Engineer Responsibilities:
Prepare production operating instructions and methods by studying customer product requirements
Prepare work instructions to ensure ease and accuracy of manufacturing
Design fixtures when necessary
Create assembly instructions and manufacturing drawings for products requiring assembly
Create programs for CNC laser and punch press machines using Striker Systems SSPunch/Profile
Communicate with customer engineers when necessary for product compliance
Mechanical Engineer Requirements and Qualifications:
A degree in mechanical engineering, related field or experience.
Strong knowledge of Solidworks CAD software.
Understanding of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T).
Strong mathematical and analytical tools.
Able to read and interpret mechanical drawings and regulatory specifications (military and customer driven).
Attention to details.
Strong communication skills.
Experience in Defense and Aerospace industries preferred.
Experience with dip brazing assemblies a plus.
