I’m looking for a warm, experienced caregiver to help my 77-year-old father for 1 week only, starting this upcoming Monday, November 10th.
He’s returning home temporarily and needs part-time support. He currently has a post-op full knee brace on his left leg, uses a walker, and can’t walk unassisted. He’s an early riser, so I’m looking for someone who’s comfortable working very early mornings (around 6 AM) for a few hours each day.
Your main job is simply to keep him company and ensure his safety. A bit of light cooking, a load or two of laundry, and very light housekeeping may be needed.
Requirements:
Prior caregiving experience required
Nursing background or HHA certification a plus
Must be physically capable of assisting with transfers (he’s thin but still needs some help)
Must live near Union, NJ
