Are you a skilled cook with a passion for authentic Italian cuisine? Verana Cucina Italiana in Norwood is seeking a dedicated Line Cook to join our kitchen team and help continue our tradition of excellence and creativity.

Located at 530 Livingston St., Norwood, NJ, Verana offers modern Italian dining led by Chef/Owner Giuseppe Agostino (formerly of Del Posto). Known for refined northern Italian flavors, seasonal ingredients, and elegant presentation, Verana has quickly become one of Bergen County’s standout dining destinations — blending warmth, precision, and innovation in every dish.
Operating Days:
We are open Tuesday – Saturday, closed Sunday and Monday.
Position: Line Cook
Schedule: Full-time; must be available evenings and weekends.
Responsibilities:
Prepare and cook dishes according to recipes and chef’s specifications (pastas, sauces, mains, and specials).
Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient station.
Complete daily mise en place and assist with prep as needed.
Work closely with the sous chef and chef to ensure consistency and timing of all plates.
Monitor quality, taste, and presentation standards throughout service.
Follow food safety, sanitation, and kitchen hygiene procedures.
Assist teammates during busy periods and maintain a calm, professional demeanor.
Qualifications:
Minimum 3–4 years of experience in a professional kitchen, ideally in Italian or fine dining.
Strong knowledge of Italian techniques, sauces, and ingredients.
Excellent knife skills and attention to detail.
Ability to handle a fast-paced environment while maintaining quality.
Dependable, organized, and passionate about cooking.
