Café Alyce in Jersey City is hiring a part-time Expeditor / Food Runner for weekend brunch. This is a fast-paced, hands-on position that keeps service organized and running smoothly.
Schedule is Saturday and Sunday, plus holidays. Hours are 8AM to 4PM. Average pay is around $20 an hour after tips.
You’ll garnish and inspect dishes before they leave the kitchen, run food to tables, and keep track of seat and table numbers. You’ll communicate between servers, guests, and the kitchen to make sure nothing is missed. Staying organized while handling multiple tickets at once is key. You’ll also keep the expo station clean, stocked, and moving efficiently.
Reliability is a must. No call-outs and always on time. You should be able to handle pressure during a busy brunch rush, communicate clearly, and take pride in presentation. Prior restaurant experience is preferred.
This is an important role — when done well, it keeps the whole service smooth.
