Administrative Assistant for Real Estate Agent (Hoboken)

New Jersey, North jersey 00000 North jersey USA

Vacancy expired!

We are looking for a unique individual to fulfill a specific set of needs in our business. There’s a chance this job is not right for you… and most people don’t fit this mold. But, if you happen to possess the skills and personality traits I’m looking for, this may very well be your dream career. Seriously.

I’m driven, busy and I need someone who has the skill and motivation to make my life easier. That sentence alone probably turns you off. If it does, move on. This isn’t the right job for you.

This person will take over all of the administrative tasks in my business. I make money when I am generating new clients and working with current clients, NOT paperwork or other administrative tasks. I’m looking for the person that loves taking tasks off my plate and gives 100% effort with a good attitude. In general, people don’t like taking care of other people. There are exceptions of course. If you are one of them, if you genuinely like taking care of another able-bodied person then maybe, just maybe, this job could be for you.

Responsibilities include: maintain systems for sellers, buyers, lead generation, and contact database management. Responsible for the accuracy and timeliness of all financial information. Develops and maintains all team filing systems (listings, contracts, legal, correspondences, etc.) and computer databases. This includes making sure that all reference material and forms are available and current. The ideal candidate for this position is organized, detail oriented, learning based, and has strong verbal and written communication skills.

We are growing fast. You have to love creating new systems, managing current systems and doing tasks that might not be in the initial job description. If you have a problem with your boss most likely being younger than you, move on. We want someone who wants to be a part of our big vision for our business.

Team comes first for us. You are either all in or are not part of the team. Team mindset is imperative for this position. Meaning, every once in awhile you do things that might not have been on the initial job description.

In short, the right person has to be willing to do virtually anything that needs to be done and they have to do it with a smile on their face and a servant’s heart to help me keep my focus on the engine of the business.

The right person is:

Incredibly proactive. They look for things that need to be done (before I ask) and do them. They don’t wait around until they are told to do something.

Organized. I need someone who is deeply, obsessively organized.

Flexible. You need to thrive when plans change or when things go wrong. I need someone with a cool head and a can-do attitude.

Positive. You have to be positive. I don’t want to hear about problems. I don’t want to hear about complaints. I want to hear what you’re doing to make each day great! I want to see a smiley and happy person.

Great communication skills. You must be an excellent communicator both written and verbal.

A FAST learner. I’ll expose you to many, many new things. If you can’t pick up new concepts fast, you’ll be lost and I’ll be frustrated.

Team player. You have to want to be a part of a team and do your job for the greater good of growing the team. This provides more opportunity for you.

Truthfully, I prefer someone who has a degree. I work with a lot of highly educated people and my assistant will as well. Odds are, if you have more education you might feel more comfortable. However, my family never finished college and they did extremely well so a great education is a bonus not a requirement.

Compensation will be discussed after interview process. If you are the right person and add tremendous value to my business and life, you’ll come to realize that we are generous and have big plans for your future in our business, when you earn it.

So, if you think you might be the right person for this job, send me your resume and, more importantly, a cover letter. I don’t want some generic cover letter… If you do, I’ll throw it away without a second thought. Instead, tell me why, in detail, YOU are the right person for this position along with your salary requirements.
