Company Overview:

KPODJ Lighting & DJ Gear is a family owned electronics retail store that primarily focuses on eCommerce sales of DJ equipment and stage lighting. KPODJ has a showroom / office / warehouse in Hopatcong, NJ. Although the majority of sales are made online, KPODJ has regular walk-in customers as well. Other services offered include installations, rentals, and DJ entertainment.

Position Overview:

We are looking for a full-time employee that can handle a variety of office related tasks. Role will include handling product/pricing updates, customer service follow-up calls, sales calls, walk-in sales, and simple equipment repairs.

We are looking for someone who is highly proficient on the computer, including Google Suite (Drive, Gmail, Sheets, Docs). Also, we're looking for someone who is familiar with DJ/lighting gear, or is motivated to learn.

On slower days, employees are encouraged to play with the audio and lighting gear we have out. The office vibe is often light-hearted and laid-back.

Essential Responsibilities, Skills, and Functions:

A great attitude and willingness to work with others effectively.

Ability to answer calls and assist customers.

Assistance of walk-in customers.

Continuing updating of website price changes from manufacturers.

Monthly inquiring of backordered items direct from manufacturers.

Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word and Excel).

Experience in Google based applications (Gmail, Google Drive, etc.).

Inventory/pricing/product adds to Amazon Seller Central.

Minor warehouse duties during peak times.

Friendly and positive attitude towards both employees and customers.

A serious interest in the audio and stage lighting industry.

Proficient in all basic computer skills such as typing, emailing, and spreadsheet use.

Time management, organization, and ability to multitask.

Communication with both customers and employees.

Willingness to accept challenges and ability to lead.

Maintain an ongoing familiarity with the business, web tech, and merchandise.

Understanding that KPODJ values unique and unorthodox solutions.

Attire: Casual

Starting Salary: $16/hr to start, raise and/or perks available after 3 months

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.00 per hour
