Under General direction, preform skilled carpentry in the construction, maintenance and repairs
Requirements
High school Diploma/GED, and completion of an accredited apprenticeship program and/or 5 years of carpentry trade experience required
U.S. Citizenship or U.S. Permanent Residency, & Valid driver's license
A combination of industrial / commercial maintenance and construction experience
General knowledge of building codes and OSHA safety rules
Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings on new construction and as built drawings
Good interpersonal skills among coworkers, clients, and supervisors
Duties
Build and or install building components to include, but not limited to, metal and wood framing, roofing, drywall, cabinets, laboratory equipment, doors and multiple types of door hardware, windows, stairs, fascia, decking, concrete forming and rebar installation.
Perform work using concrete, masonry, wood, metal, plastics, laminates, ceramic and composites as necessary
Maintenance activities include but not limited to roof repairs, stair, deck, and handrail repairs, door and door hardware maintenance, floors, ceramic tile, t- bar ceilings and acoustical tiles, windows and screens, asphalt patch, concrete repairs, dry wall patches, restroom partitions and fixtures
