Boasso Global, a premier intermodal service company providing transportation and tank container services, is seeking an experienced Environmental, Health and Safety Supervisor to support operations at our East Coast locations, this position will be based out of our Newark, NJ terminal.
This position's primary responsibility is at the Newark, New Jersey terminal with support to other terminals as needed. Ensures terminal compliance with EPA, OSHA, and DOT requirements. Manages the terminal's compliance with the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection's (NJDEP) Toxic Catastrophe Prevention Act (TCPA) and Discharge Prevention, Containment, and Countermeasure (DPCC) regulations. Conduct audits, observations, risk assessments, chemical review and approval, and leads associated Environmental, Safety and Health Training. Assists terminal in DOT driver compliance activities including documentation, inspections, and training. Regional travel is required.
Qualified candidates will have High School Diploma or GED, knowledge of EPA, OSHA and DOT standards, and four or more years experience in the Environmental and Safety fields. Preferred candidates will have EHS training or education, AS or BS degree in Environmental, Safety or related field, and professional certifications, as well as knowledge and experience with NJDEP TCPA and DPCC regulations. Minimum special knowledge and skills required: working knowledge of EPA, OSHA, and DOT Regulations, basic computer knowledge, strong written and verbal communication skills, and strong organizational skills.
Other required skills: must be able to perform Root Cause Analysis and implement corrective action. Must know and understand DOT's Comprehensive Safety Analysis system.
