Position:Lead Specialty Software Engineer

Location: NORTH BRUNSWICK, New Jersey, 08902-2762

Term:12 months

Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
  • Join a high performing Agile team developing software in Java using 12-factor & object-oriented principals and design patterns by practicing/advocating Behavior Driven development methodology.
  • Create thorough designs - taking care to assure that designs integrate well into existing architecture.
  • Work directly with business analysts, traders, sales, operations group to understand requirements.
  • Peer review source code and provide constructive feedback.
  • Create/modify SQL database objects (tables, views, stored procedures, etc.) and document store such as MongoDB.
  • Perform high quality thorough unit testing and documentation of development activities.
  • Assure quality, maintainability, and extensibility for supported systems and risk applications.
  • Provide Level 3 production support as required.

Is this a good fit? (Requirements):
  • Design, enhance, build and deliver interface for core trading functionality using C#, .Net, WPF.
  • Experience in building application using advanced concepts like multithreading, Task Parallelism, Async/Await, Delegates and Events.
  • Experience with React/Node JS/TypeScript.
  • Good understanding and experience with CI/CD pipeline - Jenkins, UrbanDeploy and Github.
  • Active participation in all aspects of the SDLC including unit testing, peer code reviews, production release management etc.
  • Experience with working in an Agile team.
  • Familiarity with ALM, Automated testing, Agile, JIRA, Sonar is a plus.
  • 5+ years development experience in Core Java, Spring, JMS, Multi-threading.
  • 5+ years of Object-Oriented Analysis (OOA) and Object-Oriented Design (OOD) experience.
  • Experience working with relational or NoSQL database.
  • Experience with SDLC and Agile tools such as JIRA, GitHub, Jenkins, Confluence etc.
  • Good understanding and experience with DevOps tool set based continuous incremental delivery experience.

Desired qualifications:
  • Securities Lending or Capital Markets Experience is a plus.
  • 5+ years of experience working in Capital markets area.
  • 2+ years working Kubernetes like container technology.
  • 2+ years working public cloud provider such as Azure or GCP.
  • 2+ years using cloud based open source Distributed Caching technology.
  • 2+ years of experience working with opensource messaging technologies on cloud such as Apache Kafka/Confluent Enterprise.
