NOTE: Temp will work 3 days remote and 2 days in the office and it' s a 40 hours a week. This candidate will be assisting a FT team member with Data Compliance work.

Job Summary: Looking for a Data Analyst (contractor role) to support our compliance effort with Data Classification and various Privacy laws/regulations. This individual will assist with data inventory processes to support risk management and compliance reporting. Key Responsibilities Include:
  • Document the type of data we collect and how it' s shared, processed and stored to meet the classification and privacy requirements that impact business.
  • Create an inventory of the personal data processing activities within the company.
  • Assist with process around keeping records of business processes up-to-date and provide on-demand reporting as required.
  • Ensure that all critical vendors (cloud, etc.) have been identified and that risk assessment activities have been completed in accordance with the company policies and procedures.
  • Using the enterprise data mapping software, create data inventories, records of processing, and compliance reporting.
  • Conduct surveys of new and existing services and processes.
  • Provide data privacy related performance metrics to department leadership.

Skills/Requirements:
  • Familiarity with Data Classification principles and privacy laws, including the General Data protection Regulation (GDPR) and California Consumer Protection Act (CCPA)
  • Experience with technical privacy concepts (e.g., anonymization, encryption, etc.)
  • Basic understanding of concepts in technology, including systems, databases, and cloud computing models.
  • Strong cross-functional communication and leadership skills, with the ability to initiate and drive projects proactively.
  • Strong interpersonal skills - builds consensus, prioritizes effectively, leverages teammates, and develops alliances across teams.
  • Strong background in documentation, program management, and ability to speak and represent to senior management.
  • Excellent teamwork skills; written and oral communication skills. Excellent formal documentation skills.
