Job Summary: Currently seeking a Retail Point of Sale Analyst with both Functional and Technical skills to join our Team at our Corporate Headquarters in Park Ridge, NJ. The role will primarily focus on the

processing of our Independent Retailers into Programs with respect to their Point of Sale systems. Also included are

data review, analysis and coordinator responsibilities.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and communicate with Independently Owned Retail store and Corporate personnel as related to POS program implementation and maintenance
  • Properly log, update and distribute program status reports
  • Manage group mailboxes for program submissions
  • Onboard Retailers from a POS perspective into various Programs
  • Evaluate, validate, track and follow through during all stages or program implementation
    • This includes data accuracy and inclusion, POS functionality, responsiveness and the like
  • Review incoming requests from end users and interpret work to be performed
  • Assist Retailers using our endorsed point of sale system and other POS systems with data and operational needs
  • Investigate and troubleshoot POS and program related issues, then take the steps to resolve the root cause
  • Programs include Outside Sales Rep (OSR), Contractor Commercial Pricing/Director of Sales Rebate (CCP/RSD), Electronic Data Interchange (EDI), Contractor Rewards (BIW) and others
  • Data:
    • Preparation of load files (products - possibly others from our database)
    • Assist in Cost Updates
    • Inventory item data review and/or cleansing
  • Support the Retail Physical Inventory Counts and related analysis as needed
  • Ad-hoc report creation using various applications
  • Documentation and Procedures:
    • Create and maintain written procedures and best practices for various activities
    • Prepare and distribute communications and newsletters
  • Assist with special projects and tasks as needed
  • Weekly meeting minutes
  • Occasional evening and weekend work

Desired Skills & Experience:

  • 2-4 years or more experience in the retail environment with an understanding of retail business processes highly desired
  • Solid customer service experience
  • Ability to

    successfully multi-task, present results and project updates to multiple subproject leads in a timely manner
  • Must be

    detail oriented
  • Excellent

    organizational, time management, interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Ability to

    perform research, exercise independent judgement, effectively prioritize and execute tasks
  • Internally motivated, able to

    work effectively both independently and in a team environment
  • Learn quickly and maintain a positive, profession attitude
  • Strong

    Microsoft Office Skills in Excel, Word

    and Access
  • Knowledge of Business Objects desired
  • Familiarity of SAP and Qlik Sense a plus

Education & Certifications:

  • 2 year college degree or equivalent technical training or work experience
