- Design, document, and validate technical security architecture designs for new applications or internal security controls. Identify security design gaps in existing and proposed architectures and recommend changes or enhancements to ensure cyber risks are effectively mitigated. Align efforts with company security policies, industry best practices, and regulatory mandates as applicable.
- Lead and facilitate the evaluation and selection of security technologies and the design of standard security configurations and new configurations for new security solutions.
- Participate in application security reviews and consultation during the assessment phases of new and existing projects to identify and analyze security concerns.
- Participate in the implementation of security controls designed to better secure applications and cloud-based and on-premise infrastructure.
- Assist in identifying, containing, and mitigating a variety of cyber insider/outsider threats to data, systems, and network.
- Minimum of 6-8 years experience in information security, with broad-based skills including security architecture, engineering, and operations.
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science preferably with a focus on Cybersecurity.
- Professional information security certifications such as the Azure Solutions Architect, Azure Security Engineer, CISSP, etc.
- Must have an excellent working knowledge of security controls and security best practices to protect on-premise and cloud-based computing services.
- Strong knowledge of on-premise and cloud-based environments, including Azure, Office 365, Windows, Linux, Unix, and mobile operating systems.
- Strong knowledge and previous " hands-on" experience of common security tools including anti-malware, data governance and protection, endpoint detection and response, email gateway, identify and access management, managed service security providers (MSSP), user behavior analytics (UBA), web filtering/proxy, and vulnerability scanning solutions.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, interpersonal and collaborative skills, and the ability to communicate information security and risk-related concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
