THIS ROLE WILL WORK ONSITE 3 DAYS PER WEEK IN PARSIPPANY, NJ AND 2 DAYS REMOTE.Global firm is currently seeking an IT Director to lead the Distribution and Warehouse capabilities. This role leads the end-to-end operations and delivery for technology solutions. Ideal candidate works with business engagement leaders, functional and technical IT leaders, and business partners to help define strategy, business and operational processes, and requirements as well as delivering and supporting technology solutions for these strategies. This role will partner with IT Leaders and Business Executives to help build, deliver, and maintain a long-term vision, strategy, and technology platform for delivering world-class supply chain capabilities. Will provide the execution capabilities for enterprise technology, IT processes and business systems as it relates to areas of accountability. The IT Director will guide managers, individual contributors, and vendors/partners in support of the solution development and operational support.
- Responsibilities: Leads the development, delivery, and operational capabilities for supply chain solutions. This includes both internal and external vendor/partner resources to build, measure and improve performance.
- Crafts short-term and long-term roadmaps, programs, and interpersonal capabilities to deliver. Sets the direction and leads all aspects of the development and maintenance to ensure technologies align with business strategy.
- Handles sophisticated applications and technology portfolios consisting of purchased (JDE, Manhattan WMS, etc) and internally developed applications.
- Leads both a project/program and operational IT budget for all owned solutions.
- Manages and develops a multi-functional team of IT resources including developers, data architects, vendors and business/technical analysts.
- Leads and develops team through the performance management process and ongoing mentoring and career discussions. Ensures that effective performance management practices are followed within department and in accordance with company policies and procedures.
- Qualifications:10+ years relevant experience
- Supply chain experience including distribution and warehouse management capabilities
- Experience crafting realistic and achievable short- and long-term expectations and goals
- Experience leading and transforming it team
- Experience with JDE E1 as well as purchased or custom developed solutions covering product, merchandising, and distribution and logistics capability areas
- Experience setting long-term strategy, architecture and technology
- Experience supporting a broad application portfolio including measuring and monitoring alignment
- Experience leading the development and implementation of both custom (.NET/Java/C/other) and purchased application software using waterfall, agile, and blended implementation methodologies
- Experience leading 3rd party implementation partners to deliver, drive and maintain software solutions
- Preferred:Retail experience a plus but not required
- Management style that exhibits high energy, critical thinking, teamwork, direct communication and result-orientation
- Ability to think about the future state and strategic directions while implementing quick wins and delivering business value in an efficient and agile manner
- Experience with JDE World, Manhattan Warehouse Management Systems
