Jr Field Technician Full Time POSITION OVERVIEW: This vital role works on all aspects (troubleshooting, maintenance and installation) of the clients access control systems. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Interface with customer in a professional manor
- Report to the site when scheduled.
- Timely notification of problems or delays
- Communicate to the client while on the job site.
- Demonstrate strong organization practices.
- Effective communication that creates a collaborative environment with all parties that the Project Team interacts with, including Clients, Subcontractors, Branches, Support, and associated Corporate Team personnel
- Research and gain working knowledge via hands on as well as company trainings on new hardware, devices and tools to provide better system solutions and installation & trouble shooting efficiency.
- Follow and enforce all OSHA safety practices.
- Complete the company mandated PCI checklist when servicing a credit card related service issue.
- Ensure that work orders are detailed, completed per Work Order SOP and "Signed-Off" by the client before leaving the site.
- Maintain and operate the company fleet vehicle in a consistent and safe manner.
- Ensure work area is maintained and well organized.
- Escalate issues to Support, when necessary, follow through until the item is resolved
- Report to work in uniform which consists of an Amano shirt/coat, blue work pants.
- Serve on the On-Call after-hours and weekend emergency rotation when applicable.
- Complete additional duties as assigned.
- "Team" oriented open communication and involvement with all branch and corporate staff
- Tackle all Service Assignments with an end goal to complete the work order as efficiently as possible without sacrificing quality.
- Work directly with the Service Manager or Branch Manager to maintain an adequate service to Amano's clients with a minimum of overtime.
- Completes required training and development objectives within the assigned time frame.
- Reports to the Service Manager or Branch Manager.
- Must have prior experience in a customer facing field service role.
- 3 5 years' experience in hardware break/fix troubleshooting and resolution.
- 1-3 years' experience supporting systems in a networked environment.
- Able to work in a pressurized environment and meet deadlines.
- Good communication skills.
- IT literate competent in Microsoft Word & Excel; Outlook and Smartphone Savvy.
- Ability to assimilate complex documentation including equipment specifications or maintenance instructions.
- ServiceMax experience is a plus.
- Must have a valid driver's license.
- Must be able to work flexible hours.
- Prior field service or parking garage systems support is a big plus.
- Must be able to work in very hot or cold outdoor weather conditions.
- Capable of lifting 75 pounds.
- At times this position will require kneeling, bending and working on ladders.
