Currently looking for motivated Senior DevOps Software Engineer to help drive the forward direction of our DevOps team. The Senior Engineer will be involved in all levels of technology stack. This role encompasses continuous improvement to existing features and rollout of new services from development to production. The Senior Engineer will work closely with application, database, and infrastructure teams to manage various application stacks on Windows, Linux, AIX, and the iSeries platforms. In addition, they will play a key role in design, architect, performance tuning, communication, monitoring, high availability, scaling, failover and recovery.

  • Configure, integrate, and support heterogeneous distributed application environments for external and internal applications within the company
  • Provide application deployment support to various application development teams
  • Lead DevOps department to engineer, automate, and streamline deployment related activities
  • Manage and maintain source code repository
  • Provide performance improvement support to application teams
  • Design and configure highly available application environments to support global business needs
  • Manage incoming demand from project team & IT functional teams with respect to application deployments. Partner to create staffing plans (core/flex model ramp up and ramp down). Serve as the primary contact for project team members & IT functional partners to service provider
  • Responsible for updating and maintaining application deployment policy and procedures, including alignment with other IT policies / processes including PM / SDLC Framework, Change Management, Problem Management, Incident Management, etc.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline and/or automate application deployment related activities
Required:
  • Bachelor's Degree in technology and/or a minimum of 4 to 6 years experience with relevant technologies
  • Experience supporting heterogeneous distributed web applications, in a large, complex and evolving environment
  • Highly competent in programming and scripting (.NET, ruby, java, bash, perl, python, c)
  • Solid understanding of cloud and virtualized environments (AWS/EC2, Docker)
  • Solid level experience with APIs
  • Basic knowledge of PHP
  • Basic knowledge of automation testing frameworks such as Selenium
  • Expert level knowledge of Window and Unix configuration and administration
  • Experience working with programmatic Systems Automations frameworks (Chef, Puppet, Jenkins, GitHub)
  • Must have experience in web server configuration and TLS/SSL managements, e.g. IIS, Apache, Tomcat, NGINX
  • Experience with container frameworks and orchestrators (Docker/Kubernetes)
  • Expert level knowledge of Window, Unix, & Mac OSX configuration and administration
  • Must have experience in web server configuration and TLS/SSL managements, e.g. IIS, Apache, Tomcat, NGINX
  • Ability to manage and support the application infrastructure for public-facing website as well as the internal systems
  • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
  • Excellent verbal and communications skills
  • Configure, integrate, and support heterogeneous distributed application environments for external and internal applications within Tiffany
  • Expert level of understanding Adobe Experience Manager (AEM)
  • Familiar with caching strategies and techniques (CDN, memcached/redis, disk, in-process), and understand the complexities of invalidation and denormalization
Preferred:
  • Understanding of networking and web protocols (HTTP(S), SMTP, DNS, SSH), should be able to identify CPU, memory & I/O bottlenecks, solve read & write-heavy workloads
  • Familiarity for integrating with log aggregation tools (ELK) and monitoring tools (AppDynamics, Datadog, AppInsights etc)
  • Experience working with programmatic systems automations frameworks (Chef, Puppet)
  • Experience in setting up Continuous Deployment / Integration / Delivery throughout the software engineering lifecycle
