Work Location: Parsippany, NJ Job Title: SQL Server DBA Rates: $58.00/hr C2C and $50.00 on W2 Start Date: 5/4/2020 End Date: 5/1/2021 Explanation Of Position This DBA position is responsible for managing SQL Server relational database management systems which are hosted on Microsoft Windows 2012-2016 platforms, running on both physical, and virtual platforms in a 24 x 7 environment. The DBA works in coordination with team DBAs, as well as other dept. resources to best meet responsibilities while strongly supporting dept./company goals. Core responsibilities include, but are not limited to - implementation, performance monitoring/tuning, ongoing maintenance, backup/recovery, security, auditing, support for production & development environments. On call support, migrations, and developing adequate technical solutions to meet application requirements. Details Of Position DBA with in-depth experience as a SQL developer using complex T-SQL with Microsoft SQL Server 2016-2019. Experience with clustered environments configuring, and supporting Always-ON as well as DB mirroring. Experience troubleshooting databases, performance tuning, server issues is a must. Experience with database security, and database maintenance. Experience automating maintenance, and other business processing across distributed SQL Server environments - proficiency in authoring/developing automated solutions using PowerShell and C#. Experience with .NET a plus. Successful completion of Microsoft certification tests 70-461, 70-462 & 70-462 is also preferred.
