- Implement new development or enhancements to applications associated with DDNJ EDI transmission environments, utilizing EDI translation software
- Identify and recommend new solutions to existing processes to gain efficiency, improve user experience, reduce risk and automate manual tasks while aligned with overall business priorities
- Participate as a member of Application Services to support, debug and resolve problems reported in the production and test environments
- Maintain and support the Software AG webMethods software and recommend installation of upgrades, fixes or new product features, teamed with external consultant services as needed
- Support, administer and monitor EDI data transmissions, ensuring security policies are enforced for transmission protocols, data encryption and file transfers for internal and external clients
- Assist with general administration tasks associated with establishing and monitoring configurations, performance and stability of Software AG webMethods environments
- Actively participate in agile program ceremonies and disciplines, while delivering required development tasks within program sprints
- Understand and adhere to the DDNJ application SDLC Release Management process and related Change Management procedures
- Create and maintain documentation, including: documents to describe program development, logic, coding and/corrections, flowcharts and diagrams, user instructions
- Identify issues and risks
- Perform additional duties as assigned
- Minimum five years of experience in a EDI/development role
- Candidates must possess sound knowledge and experience in system automation, deployment, and implementation
- Candidates for this position possess at least three years of work experience as a DevOps Engineer
