DescriptionAccountemps currently has an opening for an Accounts Payable (A/P) Specialist. The Accounts Payable Specialist role offers an exciting opportunity to become an integral part of Robert Half's fastest growing division. Located in Paterson, New Jersey, the Accounts Payable Specialist will be a full-time position. The Accounts Payable Specialist duties will include matching and batching code, resolving A/P issues, processing expense reports, updating and reconciling sub-ledger to G/L, and processing checks.Accounts Payable Specialist Key responsibilities:
Perform full-cycle A/P
Carry out additional projects as required
Provide support during internal and external audits
Handle the administrative needs of the AP/Finance Department
Perform daily processes and controls correctly and punctually, ensuring company policies are followed
Verify, log and mail checks, including expediting special handling
Provide customer service to internal business partners
Ensure invoices, checks, and other documents are properly sorted, logged, scanned, and filed
RequirementsAccounts Payable Specialist Requirements:
Observant, accurate and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment
BS/BA degree in Accounting, Business or similar preferred
Microsoft Excel experience desired
Prior experience in an A/P role preferred
Demonstrated communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills, especially with both technical and financial backgrounds
