ROLE SUMMARY

Subject Matter Expert focused on providing leadership, guidance and technical and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) compliance support to global plant operations with respect to Plant Utilities, Facilities, Building Control Systems and HVAC. Support Energy Water and Climate Change Sustainability program.

Provide leadership and guidance in compliance and operational improvement support of Facilities and Utilities systems in all Pfizer manufacturing facilities. Work includes supporting Utilities Facilities design for aseptic, bio-tech, solid oral dose, liquids and Active Pharmaceutical Ingredient (API) related project design, operational improvement and quality program teams and initiatives supporting all manufacturing sites globally in the Pfizer Global Supply (PGS) network.

  • Contribute to energy conservation & productivity improvements

  • Guide project and utility teams to resolve equipment / facility issues

  • Ensure that all safety instructions and measures are strictly observed

  • Ensure compliance to regulatory norms, best practices and global policies and procedures

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related field required.

  • 10+ years of experience in the Pharmaceutical Industry required.

  • Expertise in GMP/non-GMP Utilities and Facilities related to pharmaceutical production required.

  • External influence in Industry, professional organizations, and regulatory agencies.

  • Proven problem solving and project management skills.

  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills. Excellent customer, stakeholder & customer relationship management.

  • Strong capabilities to understand, lead, and nurture a growing business support program.

  • Strong leadership and influencing capabilities at all levels of the organization.

  • Independent thinker with strong organizational and analytical skills.

  • Experience on international assignments and demonstrated ability to navigate effectively in various cultures.

  • The ability to influence sites and Pfizer colleagues’ attitudes and behaviors pertaining to energy management practices.

PREFERRED QUALIFICAITONS

  • MS or MBA desirable.

PHYSICAL/MENTAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Ability to travel up to 40% domestic and international.

  • Ability to inspect site utility equipment in mechanical spaces.

NON-STANDARD WORK SCHEDULE, TRAVEL OR ENVIRONMENT REQUIREMENTS

  • Standard Work Schedule (Monday - Friday, day shift)

  • Up to 40% domestic/ international travel; some travel may require Sunday flights or return trips on Saturday’s base on site needs and schedules.
