Job Description:

The resource request is for supporting the Teradata Data Warehouse systems. The team plans on consolidating an appliance class platform into a larger enterprise class platform. The position is for a Teradata Systems DBA which is critical to the ongoing work and rolling out of the new Teradata transformation project/ architecture which may include the opportunity to acquire Hadoop and Cloud strategy knowledge. In addition the candidate would be responsible for managing Teradata databases, Teradata Managed server tools, Data Movement DSA Data Streaming Architecture, BAR Backup and Recovery technology, and Cloud NAS Object Storage.

Teradata Systems DBA with more than 5 years experience with Teradata TD16.20 version or higher.Support multiple Teradata systems including independent marts, development/uat, disaster recovery, security and the enterprise warehouse systems and business applications.

Support multiple Teradata systems including independent marts, development/uat, disaster recovery, security and the enterprise warehouse systems and business applications.Building and Installing new Teradata systems including setting access control secuirty layer, DR setup, Manage/Monitor Teradata system performance, including workload management, query performance and tuning, physical node behavior, and amp distribution.Consult on physical database implementations, PPI, skew analysis, join methods, and data access paths.Work with Teradata GSO in resolving RDBMS related incidents.Implement and administer access policies in conjunction with corporate standards.Support Mainframe administrative functions Teradata Datamover tool support with Unity experienceSupport Unix level process, scripts, and tools for system management and data movement.Manage, design, support, development and consult on practices of storage management, archive, restore, and disaster recovery.Familiar with Incident and change management process using tools like Remedy.Familiar with Cloud computing, Cloud Storage like Native Object Storage, Machine Learning etc.

Advanced working knowledge of Teradata RDBMS at both physical and logical levels.Advanced working knowledge of Teradata suite of tools; DataMover,BAR, TASM, TTU Tools, TPT, DBQL, PDCR, Viewpoint, Datamover, Unity.Familiar with Teradata Systems setup, GDO, DBSControl etc.Working knowledge of Mainframe interfaces and execution; TDP, JCL, TSO,ISPF, ESCON,FICON, NDM.Experience with Linux / Unix operating systems. Automation scripting experience using BASH / Python is a must have for this role.Teradata security , SSO and Active directory integration
