Job Description:

The Institutional Retirement Onboarding and Maintenance group within Wealth Management Operations is responsible for the transition of corporate retirement plans to proprietary platforms. Projects include new conversions, company mergers, and other various projects. The Conversion Manager is responsible for the end-to-end project of onboarding new and existing plans. They are the operations lead working with the client and their vendors to establish plan data transfer and recurring data transmissions. Inclusive in the process is the accurate establishment of front end participant touch points and backend systems for platform processing. Projects require direct communication with plan sponsors and partnerships across various lines of business including Retirement and Personal Wealth Sales, Product, and Client Service. The successful Conversion Manager has an in-depth working knowledge of the retirement products and systems, excellent customer service skills, and detailed project management skills.

The Conversion Manager will have extensive interaction with the client, outside vendors and internal partners. Some travel is required in support of transition projects. The Conversion Manager works as part of a team but does not have direct reports.

Required Skills:
  • Excellent project management skills, including the ability to prioritize work, meet deadlines, influence others to get work done and hold them accountable are required
  • Strong understanding of recordkeeping practices, systems, file layouts and structures.
  • Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail
  • Self-starter attitude; Demonstrates initiative while working independently
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong ability to influence/challenge and negotiate to keep all parties engaged in the process
  • Advanced Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel skills

Desired Skills:
  • 3-5 years retirement plan administration experience
  • 3-5 years project management experience
  • Understanding of equity compensation recordkeeping systems
  • Understanding of file layout specifications. Ability to load, manipulate and process data using various data base tools
