Position Summary

Provide leadership, technical direction, and oversight to a team delivering technology solutions for critical functions around Change, Project and Work management tools within the Bank. Development team is working on reengineering these core applications & processes through integration, simplification and automation.
  • Building the Solution Right
  • Design, develop and be accountable for feature delivery.
  • Apply enterprise standards for solution design, coding and quality.
  • Ensure solution meets product acceptance criteria with minimal technical debt.
  • Responsible for compliance and security items and audit support at the team level.
  • Act as a liaison for production activities/issues.
  • Investigate and recommend best practices and process improvements. Work Planning and Execution
  • Work with the Product Owner to ensure that product backlog/requirements are healthy, with clear acceptance criteria.
  • Guide the team on work breakdown and execution.
  • Team Mentorship
  • Play a team lead role (as an individual contributor) and mentors the team.
  • Guide team members with skills and practices (planning & estimation, peer reviews and other engineering practices).
  • Identify skill and role gaps, and work with Sr. Technology Manager to address them.
  • Work with Technology Manager in creating resource contingency plans where required.

Responsible for providing leadership, technical direction, and oversight to a team as they deliver technology solutions. Develops solutions and processes for delivering features based on their knowledge of design/architectural patterns and Agile/DevOps practices. Ensures the systems design and requirements are aligned to achieve the desired business outcomes, and that team practices and coding/quality principles are aligned to achieve the desired technology outcomes. They have built significant experience through multiple software implementations and has developed both depth and breadth in a number of technical competencies. Designs and develops and is accountable for feature delivery. Applies enterprise standards for solution design, coding and quality.   • Expert knowledge of RDBMS and non-RDBMS systems (both data warehouse and data lake architectures strongly preferred)
  • Experience manipulating data structures (SQL, Python, json, and XML) to support advanced multidimensional, predictive, and statistical analysis
  • Strong knowledge of machine learning algorithms, optimization, and best practices for tuning hyperparameters
  • Experience with batch and online machine learning methods
  • Ability to explain and justify chosen model pre-training strategies
  • Experience explaining model outcome and performance
  • Experience with NLP models, lemmatization, and CNN or SVM
  • Experience with ETL, ELT and blending of data optimized for performance, integrity and scalability
  • Advanced knowledge of Tableau with both cube (OLAP) and relational data sources
  • Tableau API knowledge with Python and/or JavaScript for integration and scheduling
  • Data blending, dashboard parameterization, workbook traces, and optimization
  • Knowledge of dashboard formatting best practices, working within ADA guidelines
  • Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development lifecycle
  • Experience with CICD production deployment, change management, and QA
