Job Description:

Primary Duties:• position requires that the candidate possess the ability to analyze and understand a variety of existing and emerging Line of Business application infrastructure requirements, perform risk analysis, and provide the technical leadership interface with technology peers and Business Partner application architects in delivering best in class solutions that align to our Business Partners application integration goals• Role requires the candidate to interface on a regular basis with BOL/My Merrill LOB partners and come up with roadmap for delivering key technical capabilities meeting the business needs• Interface with Core infrastructure delivery partners and ensure delivery of key business requirements• Lead complex and multi generation projects with multiple deadlines, priorities and diverse set of application requirements• Lead and design application infrastructure integration framework, outline best practices and standards• Participates in project calls and works with internal bank groups as well as LOB to gather detailed technical requirements• Responsible for High Level design as it pertains to load balancing infrastructure and changes• Provides Level 3 support and direction for production related issues. Considered a SME for load balancing• Works with external vendors (F5) for chronic issues, bugs, feature enhancements

• Being able to do Network IP F5 Services & Design• Subject Matter expert with F5 products & technology ( GTM, LTM, SSL offloading etc) • Working knowledge of leveraging F5 devices for web acceleration & caching• Good overall network background with an understanding of routing & switching protocols as well as application layer protocols • Strong background with DNS• Advanced skills of designing, coding, and troubleshooting iRules and iControls• Strong understanding of the different load balancing options & features to include OneConnect, Persistence, SSL offload functions, HTTP profiles, etc• Must have strong understanding of the Global Traffic Manager and Iquery functionality between LTM & GTM for a HA design.• Must have a strong understanding of Web traffic load balancing function and manipulation procedures along with sizing and capacity planning based on a high availability or DR design.

Leads the resolution process for complex problems where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of various factors. Exercises judgment within broadly defined practices and policies in selecting methods, techniques, and evaluation criterion for obtaining results. Information Technology degree and/or technology certifications preferred or substantial equivalent experience. Typically 7-10 years of IT experience.
