Position: Google Apps Script Developer Location: Piscataway, NJ (Remote until Covid-19 Restrictions are lifted) Duration: 12 Months + with extension Must Have Skills (Most Important):

  • Experience with Google API's (Drive, Docs, Sheets, BigQuery, Gmail, Calendar, Maps) and DataStudio
  • Experience in building Chrome extensions, Gmail enhancements (I believe they call it cards for Gmail).
  • Scripting experience in connecting multiple Google products to create custom applications or business solutions
  • General experience in web development and API
  • Javascript experience
  • 2+ years project management experience
Desired Skills:
  • Knowledge of Data Management Capability Assessment Model (DCAM)
  • Knowledge of relevant data security and compliance frameworks (e.g., NIST, SOX) and regulations (e.g., CCPA, GDPR)
  • Ability to think critically and find creative solutions to business process issues and/or technical challenges
Job Duties: The Google Apps Script Developer will build, maintain and continually improve the Verizon Enterprise Privacy PMO automated process workflows, tools, templates and response-based actions (ie Privacy Management Tools), including: request funnel, backend routing, template creation, notifications, consolidated metrics across Google tools and auto-generated reporting and presentations. Additionally, as a member of the Verizon Enterprise Privacy PMO located within the Verizon Data Governance & Architecture organization and supporting the Verizon Privacy Legal Office, you'll have the unique opportunity to contribute to Privacy compliance projects and operations as well as be exposed to Verizon's Data Governance Platform and strategy while expanding your Google, Privacy and Compliance capabilities. Responsibilities include:
  • Serve as the in-house Google developer subject matter expert
  • Lead Google Workspace customization and automation projects, including but not limited to: scoping, feasibility, design, development, testing, production support and updates
  • Total ownership of the Google Privacy Management Tools
  • Process engineering of existing Privacy processes, workflows, tools and templates
  • Continually brainstorm, propose and implement process improvements for the Google Privacy Management Tools
  • Management of assigned privacy controls projects and regulatory operations initiatives.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
