Position: Business Analyst- Commercial Systems

Location: Princeton, NJ (Flexible Hybrid Schedule)

Compensation: Full Time/ Competitive

Description As an IT Business Analyst, your role will be to understand and translate complex business processes and act as a liaison between the product team and the business community. This role is part of the IT Product team serving the Commercial and Medical Affairs business needs. In collaboration with the IT Business Partners, IT Product Manager, and business stakeholders, you will use your agile and industry experience to deliver and optimize technology solutions aligning with business and IT roadmaps.

You will work closely with devoted colleagues within the organization, who all share the overall goal of developing and bringing new innovative medicines to patients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the Business Systems Analyst for the IT Product team supporting Commercial & Medical Affairs business processes, specifically Commercial Analytics and Master Data Management (MDM).
  • Lead analysis of process development and the review and refinement of existing functional and technical processes; identify workflow improvements and propose solutions for new or existing systems & data by engaging business stakeholders, process leads, and vendors.
  • Work closely with various technical and non-technical stakeholders to understand complex business processes and data requirements through individual interviews, group interviews, observations, review of business documents, and end user surveys.
  • Apply an Agile mindset and behavior to effectively collaborate with Product team and business stakeholder(s).
  • Effectively interface and communicate with Product team and senior management including key stakeholders regarding product deliverables, risks, mitigations and resources.
  • Conducting workshops, gathering & documenting requirements, backlog grooming, user stories update for Data aggregation, analytics, and reports including customer master and master data management.
  • Support UAT and

    contribute to the support and maintenance of operational documentation including SOPs, work instructions, manuals, and training materials for end users and system administrators.
  • Coordinate and develop Requests for Proposals (RFPs) working with product manager, stakeholders and product team for vendor and application selection process.
  • Perform and Review QC on deliverables by vendors and the technical team.
  • Work with Product team, business stakeholders to ensure system and process documentation are up to date per the SOPs.

Requirements
  • Bachelor s degree in a related discipline with a minimum of 3-5 years of progressively responsible experience in related roles (including a minimum of 1-2 years of demonstrated IT project management experience) in a pharmaceutical, biotechnology or related environment.
  • Special knowledge or skills needed and/or licenses or certificates required:
    • Hands-on experience with one or more of the following: SQL, data analytics, data extracts, systems integrations.
    • Data strategy and governance, Master Data Management (MDM), commercial data analytics, Product Launches, and data aggregation.
  • Preferred knowledge of one or more of the Commercial data sources including HCP, HCO & Payer, sales and claims data, distribution data, chargeback and rebate data, Territory Alignment and Targeting, Incentive Compensation (IC), Speciality Pharmacy (SP) data, Veeva OpenData, IQVIA, SHA, Core Access Payer backbone, MMIT formulary data.
  • Knowledge of GxP, Google Cloud Platform, GDPR, data privacy, compliance and FDA guidelines, regulations within the pharmaceutical industry.
  • Hands-on experience in Agile methodology.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively, as required, in a fast-paced, matrixed, team environment consisting of internal and external team members.
  • Analytical thinker with excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.
  • Strong team player with excellent verbal and written communication and skills.
  • Travel requirements: 5% - 10%
