Duration: 12+ months (possible extension)

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree in Economics, Business, Marketing, Mathematics, Data Science, Statistics, or related fields
  • 5-7 years of experience in market insights/market analytics & forecasting/finance or related field, and proven success leading analytics/ insight generation
  • Strong analytical skills; familiar and able to analyze secondary data, integrating data from different data sources, building in assumptions and modeling when full data is unavailable
  • Significant expertise in Excel and PowerPoint
  • Sense of urgency, and ability to be flexible and adaptable in fast-paced data-driven multicultural environment and a team player
  • Excellent interpersonal, written and communication skills
  • Proven sensitivity towards confidentiality and understanding of all requirements and corporate policies and guidelines that impact legal and ethical conduct

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience within the Life Sciences, Medical Devices, Pharmaceutical, or Biotechnology industry
  • Experience with strategic planning, market research, and/or competitive intelligence
  • Top tier strategy / management consulting background
  • Proficiency with SPSS, Cognos, data visualization tools such as Tableau, Qliksense, PowerBI, etc.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

  • This position is tasked with providing market and competitive insights to Client Point of Care division based on internally developed strategic forecasts and analyses, external market and analyst reports, and primary and/or secondary marketing research. This person will provide direction and input to strategic marketing, commercial, and market/product forecasting related activities that are used by senior management and corporate levels of the business. Success within this position will be achieved through the ability to understand business needs and to develop and communicate strategic insights around these needs.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

Market Analytics

  • Custodian of global market forecast models and analytics (market size and growth, competitor share and positioning, etc.). Lay out well-thought-out rationale for key assumptions and inputs.
  • Design and execute data modeling and analytical tools using scarce data to ensure quick collation of data for delivery of informed and insightful estimates to support multiple ad hoc requests, corporate reporting and commercial needs.
  • Together with Market Insights & Analytics Head, she/he shall render strong support in rLBE (Quarterly Business Cycle) preparations - the company's financial cycle, where Market Insights team spearheads market growth and share assumptions, delivers data/insights on external/macro-economic trends, etc.
  • Formulate analytical strategies for solving business problems, and develop strategies to scale the impact of data through the development of self-service analytical programs.

New Product Forecasting

  • Define the vision for new product forecasting, and work with the Market Intelligence Analyst and business partners to achieve that vision by developing robust forecasting models and scenarios that are dynamic and sustainable, and building infrastructure and continuous improvement process to enhance model usability, data sources, methodology, and stakeholder management.

Competitive Intelligence

  • Apply structured problem solving to collect, analyze and report competitive intelligence, incorporating primary and secondary data sources to generate actionable insights.
  • Maintain, prioritize, and track key intelligence topics (KITs) and key intelligence questions (KIQs), keeping the organization informed of any significant market events and competitor activity as they occur.
  • Assess the reliability of competitive intelligence research findings, maintaining high standards for accuracy, relevance, and quality in deliverables at all times and communicate level of evidence to stakeholders.

Internal and External Stakeholder Management

  • Manage multiple internal stakeholder "customers" in fast-moving environment to respond to ad-hoc requests in addition to ongoing reporting.
  • Exhibit strong organizational skills that are needed to manage vendors on cost, timing, appropriateness of methodology, and actionability of conclusions.
