Position: Senior Data Engineer Location: Princeton NJ and New York, New York (Hybrid role with 3 days onsite in a week) Duration: Long term Key skills: Informatica with Snowflakes, Fixed income, Portfolio, Asset management, SQL Description of Role As the Senior Data Engineer, you will also be responsible for actively participating on the team that will design and deliver our new enterprise data master solution and warehouse, PRISM (Portfolio, Returns, Index, and Security Master). The delivery of the platform will culminate with the retirement of the existing legacy applications. In this role, you will work closely with our subject matter experts on our Digital Information Services Team (DIS), Investment, Client Service and Compliance teams. You will be a valuable team member that will build and operationalize data pipelines and transformation processes that our meet business requirements for accuracy, timeliness and consistency. You will leverage your strong knowledge of industry best practices for enterprise data management and governance. Work you will do Be part of our Enterprise Data Services (EDS) team implementing a cloud-based (AWS) enterprise data warehouse using Snowflake, Informatica, and SQL. As a senior engineer you will be expected to bring best practices as well as develop appropriate schemas, logical and physical models, and service interfaces for PRISM. o Work with subject matter experts to understand business requirements and use cases. o Define and assemble data sets that meet business requirements and use cases o Develop, maintain, and support data ingestion and transformation for loading data from multiple data sources o Design and implement processes to validate the data sets in Snowflake to legacy data warehouse o Work with data domain experts to develop standard views and stored procedures that can be utilized by multiple development teams. o Learn and support our current data warehouse (in maintenance mode), assist in the analysis, planning and execution to complete the migration to Snowflake and retirement of legacy platforms. to implement best practice SDLC and coding standards Qualifications: Willingness to work in hybrid work place (currently remote Monday and Friday) Minimum 3 year's experience with an Asset Management firm Fixed Income Asset Management data domains knowledge (Security Master, Index, Holdings, Fixed Income Analytics and Characteristics) Minimum 3 years of recent experience with Data warehousing methodologies and modelling techniques Minimum of 3 years of experience with ETL tools (Informatica preferred) and Master Data Management Applications Hands on experience implementation of a modern data warehouse migration to new technology and retirement of legacy platforms Experience in developing service interfaces (SQL or web service) for business systems from a core or enterprise data store Demonstrated success delivering solutions for investment personal. (Trading, Portfolio Management, Research) Snowflake or other cloud-based data platform experience
