Job Description: The Separately Managed Accounts (SMA) billing team is responsible for billing the 46k Retail SMA accounts, which are on boarded via 25+ different sponsor platforms. Our client is seeking an SMA Billing Analyst with experience in a similar billing function role within the Finance industry. The SMA Billing group is responsible for the accurate and timely billing of client accounts received through our client's retail channel. The ideal candidate will be able to multi-task, dividing their time between daily, monthly, and quarterly functions as necessary. He/she/they will be familiar with, or be expected to learn, the following concepts: tiered fee schedules, account aggregation, discounting, rebating, and account receivables.The SMA Billing Analyst will work closely with the SMA Onboarding team, the Sales Desk, Portfolio Management teams, and various other business organizations to ensure all accounts are accurately billed and production credits are paid out on time to Financial Advisors. He/she/they will be asked to work diligently and accurately on individual projects and daily work, as well as to work as part of a team, participating in-group audits to minimize the risk of all omissions or errors. Lastly, the SMA Billing Contingent Worker may be asked to assist with producing metrics, reports, and other data analyses related to our client's Retail SMA Business.

Responsibilities:
  • Daily, process new accounts, cancellations, account maintenance updates, supplemental bills, and exception items.
  • Participate in mass generation and approval of 20k+ invoices per quarter, ensuring accurate debit of client accounts.
  • Monitor production payouts to Financial Advisors and work with appropriate teams to mitigate issues and ensure accurate payouts.
  • Maintain the accounts receivable process for Retail SMA.
  • Work with SMA business organizations to ensure all one-off exceptions and special procedures are completed accurately.
  • Successfully manage time between day-to-day responsibilities and project involvement.
  • Identify and drive operational improvement opportunities that lower the risk of errors and increase efficiency of the SMA Billing team.
  • Willing to work overtime and weekends when required

Requirements:
  • Sophisticated knowledge of Microsoft Office products, including Excel, Outlook, and Word is required. Knowledge of the following systems is a plus: Aladdin, APL, Revport, Oracle AR
  • The ideal candidate can work well individually and in a team, has a strong attention to detail, can switch easily between different tasks during the day, and be forward thinking while exhibiting problem solving skills

  • Education: BA required, specifically in Business Operations or Finance is a plus Skills and Experience:
