- Work with customers and understand their setup, and analyze their deployments and come up with areas of weakness, enhancements
- Helps customers think through and define their IT strategy and resulting requirements as related to the industry challenges.
- Create use cases and solution architecture design for customer configuration/needs
- Can create conceptual and logical architectures for the solution. The solution might include infrastructure, Collaboration and/or VXI/VDI components
- Leads an effort whose goals are to craft and deliver business value justification, business requirements to technology architecture mapping, solution architecture & integration, and organizational change management recommendations.
- Individual builds plans and coordinates implementations of the solution across cross-technology (DCN/DC/Collaboration) virtual delivery teams.
- Able to articulate this vision across Executives and senior Enterprise/Solution Architects.
- Create repeatable service offerings for specific domains such as SDN / Network Function Virtualization, BYOD, security and applications
- Work with Sales Managers to engage in pre-sales activity and propose creative ideas and solutions to customer needs
- Deliver technical and services workshop for Network offerings
- Work with other solution teams to create validated designs and other reference architectures
- Create technical and solution content
- 15-21 years of solution architect experience in Architecture, Design, Build, Operate and Optimize
- Preferably a BS, MS degree in EE, computer science
- CCIE is a plus
- Ability to work closely with customers
- Strong verbal, written and presentation skills.
- Open and engaging collaboration style
- Ability to take initiative in virtual team efforts and influence technical and architectural directions
- Demonstrated technical ability when working with complex component(s) or whole product/platform
- Ability to work independently with very little supervision
