Business Systems Analyst
100% Remote Long Term ContractThe Senior Business System Analyst (BSA) participates in scrum ceremonies and prepares detailed system specifications (user stories) from which software programs are written or configured. The BSA also collaborates with the engineering teams and the product owner to ensure proper development, operationalization, and delivery of technical solutions that fully adhere to corporate business and quality objectives necessary to meet user specification for functionality and accuracy. Responsibilities:- Translate business features to functional and technical user stories
- Create technical and infrastructure user stories to support software engineering and QA team members
- Create and maintain artifacts such as business process models, data mapping, use cases, and data flow diagrams
- Analyze and document new and existing processes and workflows
- Review test plans and provide feedback on testing methodology as needed
- Support various testing efforts such as integration, user acceptance testing etc.
- Research data layout, data usage, and flow to gain expertise in new and existing systems
- Create new business processes diagrams and data usage to promote efficiency
- Prepares and maintains technical artifacts such as micro services API specifications and User interface specifications etc.
- Provide demo and training to end users on new features and enhancements
- Collaborate with software engineers, QA, and product owners to ensure proposed solution is delivered per requirements and with the required functionality
- Mentor less experienced members of the team
- 5+ years of experience in interpreting business needs and translating them into functional and technical specifications
- Engineering degree, related technical discipline, or equivalent work experience.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in SQL
- Familiar with cloud-native architecture, Git, Jira, and agile methodologies.
- Ability to write simple to complex SQL queries
- Experience in application development, testing, and/or system analysis role
- Experience in health care domain
